Not On Vacation

I had to laugh at the last comment, from Matt, who asked if I was still on vacation. I laughed so loud my cat jumped off the couch.

I came back about a week ago. And I still feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. Does anyone ever have that feeling?

Since I have been back, I have basically been binging Lost. It’s an old series (well old in the sense that it has since gone off the air, but not old in the sense that it was something watched long long ago). And I am not sure why I didn’t watch this when it was out. I know that many people talked about it, blogged about it and my friends had long conversations about how good it was. I am not sure why I didn’t watch it earlier. I do get to binge it and I don’t have to wait week or even a season to see how a cliffhanger ends.

Back when it was out, I believe I was watching How I Met Your Mother and The Office. I can’t remember what else I was watching either.

I was new to the blogging world. I was barely out–in the sense that I was still so closeted. I chatted with a few bloggers via yahoo chat. But I then came out, full force. Something about gaining strength from everyone here helped me break down that closet door. And once it was down, well (sometimes it’s up), I never put it up again.

I’m so ever grateful for the power that I found in virtual and real friends. Of course my virtual became real too.

You can say that I’m no longer lost.

Lost was the last TV show in which I actually made a point of making sure I was home and in front of the set when it was on. I loved it.

    Love this post!
Glad to read the virtual world helped you bridge that space between those two ‘you’. Virtual friendships are sometimes very beneficial.

And Lost was a great series. I rewatched the whole thing last year (blessed be the streaming services) and it does stand the test of time!

I always need a few days back to relax from vacation, especially when I travel abroad. Where I play hard and soak everything in.

I never watched Lost and now I know too much about it to enjoy it, but I probably would have liked it if I’d watched it as it came out. I hope you enjoy it. Only bloggers understand the deep connections you can build on-line with other bloggers, even though you’ve never met in person.

Next time you use the words binging a lot, please add TV so I don’t worry about you. hohoho
